An afternoon walk down Devon Avenue on May 7th, 2012. There were
community members doing a clean-up, a lovely lady upholding the parking laws,
beautiful architecture, and interesting businesses on the border of Rogers Park
and Edgewater.

Pratt Pier
They call it Pratt Pier
They call it Pratt Pier, or Farwell Pier ... I've always referred to it as the Rogers Park lighthouse.
Although you can't see, unless you walk directly to the base ... there is an active discussion on removing the graffiti from the beautiful structure.

Artists of the Wall 2012
Barefoot in the Sand - Artists of the Wall 2012
The Artists of the Wall Festival brings together neighbors of all ages to collaborate on a 600-foot lakefront mural at Loyola Park Beach (6850 North, between Farwell and Morse Avenues). Coordinated by members of the Loyola Park Advisory Council, the festival is a annual celebration of community and creativity. The wall is accessible for year-round viewing.
This years theme is "Barefoot in the Sand", a which I had a hand as a member of the Loyola Park Advisory Council in creating.
Visit the Artists of the Wall facebook page for more information on the upcoming event
